“Secrets/Regrets”

Loneliness must be the price they had to pay. 😦

These I Wrote For You

It’s such a shame the sun didn’t set today.
The night must be lonely,
Having nothing to keep him company.
The sea is drenched in brightness.
She’s now stripped off of her mask,
When all she was yearning for was the touch of dusk,
To mend her sadness –
Where no one would see her,
And the night would kiss her,
And the horizon is nowhere to be found,
For the night and the sea have made it their secret,
Laden with suspended regrets.
Loneliness must be the price they had to pay,
It’s such a shame the sun didn’t set today.
